Enclosures
Standard and Super-Silent Cabins
- Enclosures are made from DKP sheet — or optionally galvanised sheet — with automated surface cleaning and acid washing. A nano-ceramic pre-treatment followed by electrostatic powder coating gives 2000 hours of salt-spray resistance (DIN EN ISO 9227).
- Enclosures are produced as standard in sizes from 10 kVA to over 3000 kVA. Bespoke builds are also available with special sound barriers, high-capacity fuel tanks and front or top air intake and discharge.
- As well as being thermally insulated, the exhaust and its high-attenuation silencer are housed in an isolated compartment within the enclosure.
- The inner walls use ISO-certified, non-combustible acoustic foam resistant to both heat and sound. Where stronger insulation is wanted, perforated-sheet-faced rock wool can be specified instead.
- Purpose-built super-silent enclosures have walls lined with rock wool and acoustic foam and faced with perforated sheet metal.
- Base frames use sheet steel at least 3 mm thick, and on standard frames the daily fuel tank sits inside the frame. Double-walled tanks and frames of other capacities can be made to order.
- At the customer’s request, sound barriers can be fitted to the air intake and outlet to reduce noise levels significantly.
- The enclosures are built modularly: the panel joints are fastened with stainless-steel bolts, designed so the bolts are not visible from outside.
- Enclosure doors use stainless-steel hinges and locks.
